Mission Statement

The Hope Haven Transition House Society is a feminist organization committed to addressing family violence with and on behalf of our community. We are dedicated to the empowerment of women and children.

To this end:

  • We provide safe, secure, and confidential refuge to women and children;
  • We advocate social changes towards a non-violent society;
  • We provide and promote community awareness and education on violence against women and children; and
  • We provide ongoing support for women and their children to make independent decisions about their future.

These services shall be provided regardless of religion, race, colour, ethnic background, language, martial status, disability, class, sexual orientation. We do not charge fees for services provided.

Further, the provision of these services will be non-judgmental, supportive, empowering, confidential and unconditional.
